It is recommended that you remove your jewellery when:
Doing household chores
Exercising
Showering or bathing
Swimming in pools or the sea
Using lotions, cosmetics and hair products
Preparing food
Sleeping
Here are a few ways you can clean sterling silver jewellery at home:
Gently scrub your silver in warm, soapy water using an old toothbrush.
Line a bowl with tin foil, add a small amount of bicarbonate of soda and hot water, place your silver into the mixture and leave it for five minutes, remove and rinse under warm water.
Buff your silver with a polishing cloth.

Ethics and Sustainability
I work with recycled metals sourced from London-based suppliers. I use found, organic materials in my work too; sea glass, pebbles and shells.
My jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue, with foam inserts made from tall oil (a by-product of paper production). My postage boxes are made from recycled paper, sealed with paper tape.
I want to ensure the gemstones I use in my work come from reputable, ethical sources. I subscribe to The Ethical Making Resource, a ‘research-led platform for sharing information about responsible and sustainable practice in the jewellery and silversmithing industry’, through which I have discovered a number of fairtrade gemstone dealers.
