Ethics and Sustainability
I am developing my jewellery business with ethical and sustainable practices at its core. I use recycled metals and source materials from London-based suppliers. My jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue, with foam inserts made from tall oil (a by-product of paper production). Recently, I have started incorporating more gemstones into my work and am keen to ensure they come from reputable, ethical sources. This is an area I am committed to researching and improving. I subscribe to The Ethical Making Resource, a ‘research-led platform for sharing information about responsible and sustainable practice in the jewellery and silversmithing industry.’
